Meet Trust Your Coin: Crypto Without the Noise

Every crypto exchange seems to promise the same three things: low fees, strong security and great service. Trust Your Coin was built to help people check those claims rather than take them at face value.

This November, Foremetrics is partnering with Trust Your Coin. Before introducing the offer, here is the problem they are working on, how their comparisons work and why their approach matters to individual investors.

The problem: choosing a crypto provider is harder than it looks

In the Netherlands, comparison sites are a familiar part of choosing insurance, energy contracts and mortgages. Trust Your Coin aims to bring that same side-by-side approach to crypto providers.

Regulation has made the choice more pressing. The EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets framework, known as MiCA, introduced authorisation requirements for crypto-asset service providers. The maximum transitional period ended on 1 July 2026, although national transition periods and the rules applicable to particular services can differ. Investors should check a provider's current authorisation and whether it can serve their country rather than rely on an old review or an advertising claim.

Costs are another source of confusion. A platform can advertise a low trading fee while charging separately for deposits or withdrawals. A few euros per withdrawal may matter much more to someone making small, regular purchases than to someone transferring a larger amount once a year.

Customer service is easy to overlook when opening an account. It becomes much more important when a transfer is delayed, access is blocked or the only available support is a chatbot.

The loudest voices in crypto are not always the most useful. Marketing campaigns and influencers can drown out the details that actually determine whether a provider suits you.

    What Trust Your Coin does

Trust Your Coin is a comparison platform for crypto providers. Its stated ambition is to become for crypto what Independer is for insurance in the Netherlands: a recognisable place to compare options. It does not itself act as a broker or exchange.

According to its published comparison methodology, providers are assessed using fixed criteria:

    • Total costs. Trading, deposit and withdrawal fees are considered together, based on your amount, payment method and number of transactions. Fee information comes from providers' published fee pages.
    • Security. A score from 1 to 10 is derived from the independent CER.live cybersecurity rating.
    • Customer service. The comparison considers available channels, such as phone, email and chat, opening hours and whether support is limited to a chatbot.
    • App usability. App Store and Google Play ratings are averaged to give an indication of users' experience.
    • Trading features. Options such as limit orders, stop-loss orders and professional trading modes are compared.

Trust Your Coin also says it uses AI to analyse thousands of online reviews per provider. That feedback feeds into its comparisons alongside the information providers publish. The aim is to reflect customers' experience, not just a platform's promises. Comparisons are updated at least monthly, according to the methodology described in the source material.

Its country selection is intended to show providers legally allowed to operate in the selected market, including under MiCA. Alongside provider comparisons, the site offers crypto prices, market sentiment, news, a comparison of crypto exchange-traded products available through banks or brokers and a quarterly Dutch market update. The platform is available in Dutch, German and Italian.

The Trust Your Coin Award follows the same ranking-led approach: rather than appointing a jury, the award goes to the provider that ranks highest in its model.

    Who is behind it?

Trust Your Coin was founded in 2025 in 's-Hertogenbosch and launched in the run-up to the MiCA deadline. It is a trade name of Blockhaven B.V.

Co-founder Rens van Boxmeer encourages people to make a quick comparison before choosing a provider. Withdrawal fees and customer service are two differences he highlights as frequently overlooked.

The team works with Finnick Legal on financial supervision law, participates in the BCNL Foundation blockchain ecosystem and uses Kimola for AI sentiment analysis, combined with its own scoring model.

What that means for individual investors

A comparison is most useful when it matches how you actually intend to use a provider. Trust Your Coin's approach can help you consider:

    • Your real cost picture. Look at the total cost for your amount and habits, including deposits and withdrawals, rather than just the headline trading fee.
    • Available options in your country. Use the country filter to narrow the list, then confirm current authorisation before opening an account.
    • Experience alongside promises. Customer reviews can highlight recurring support or usability issues that a provider's own website will not emphasise.
    • Your own priorities. Low fees, support availability, security indicators, trading tools and a crypto debit card may matter differently to different people.
    • Wider context. Prices, news and market updates can sit alongside the provider comparison rather than being scattered across separate sites.

None of these scores makes an investment safe. A cybersecurity rating is not a guarantee against a future breach, app ratings are not an audit and AI review analysis depends on the quality of the underlying reviews. Authorisation also does not remove crypto price risk. Treat rankings as a starting point for your own checks, not a substitute for them.

How Trust Your Coin earns money

Trust Your Coin explains that it may receive an affiliate fee when someone opens an account through its site. Providers can also pay for additional visibility.

According to its stated policy, paid placements are labelled as advertising and kept separate from the standard ranking, while fees do not influence a provider's score. That distinction matters: readers should be able to tell the difference between a comparison result and a paid placement.

Why Foremetrics and Trust Your Coin are teaming up

Trust Your Coin helps people navigate crypto providers and digital finance. Foremetrics helps individual investors research companies, value stocks and track portfolios. The markets differ, but the principle is shared: useful information matters more than promises of quick riches.

For the November partnership, the Trust Your Coin community can try Foremetrics free for four weeks — 28 days in total, rather than the standard 14-day trial. No payment card is required.

Use the trial to explore company financials, build a custom DCF valuation and manage your portfolio in one place.
